J.D. Martinez taking a seat as the Tigers face the Astros
Detroit Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Houston Astros.
Martinez is getting a night off as he has played in all 11 games since being activated from the disabled list on May 12. Tyler Collins is filling in for him in right field while batting eighth against Charlie Morton and the Astros.
Martinez has been hot, slashing .367/.533/.909 with six home runs and 12 RBI's in just 45 plate appearances this season.
