Twins' Ervin Santana scores his second shutout of 2017
Minnesota Twins pitcher Ervin Santana pitched a complete game shutout on Tuesday as the Twins beat the Baltimore Orioles 2-0.
Santana fanned six Orioles while only allowing two walks and two hits in the game, scoring his seventh win of the season and becoming the first pitcher to notch multiple shutouts in 2016.
While his 1.80 ERA is strong, Santana boasts a much less impressive 4.81 SIERA with a 19.1 percent strikeout rate and 10.3 percent walk rate through 10 starts (70 innings pitched) this season.
