Christian Yelich leaves Marlins' win early due to hip flexor
Miami Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich exited Tuesday's game versus the Oakland Athletics with a right hip flexor injury.
The Marlins were likely erring on the side of caution by taking Yelich out. He had a single and a strikeout with one run scored in five plate appearance as Miami topped Oakland 11-9 on Tuesday. Yelich is listed as day-to-day.
Through 43 games (189 plate appearances) this season, Yelich is hitting .256/.323/.381 with six home runs, 21 RBI's and three stolen bases.
