Michael Saunders taking Tuesday off for Philadelphia
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Michael Saunders is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Ty Kelly will start in left field while Aaron Altherr handles things in right in Tuesday night's matchup with right-hander German Marquez and the Rockies. Saunders is hitting just .227 (32-for-141) through 41 games this season and he's failed to get a hit in four consecutive contests.
For the season, Saunders owns a .656 OPS with four home runs and 15 RBI's in 150 plate appearances.
