Mariners bring Mike Zunino up from Triple-A Tacoma
Seattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.
What It Means:
Zunino slashed .293/.356/.707 with five home runs and 11 RBI's in 12 games (45 plate appearances) at Tacoma. He'll see the majority of starts behind the plate for Seattle moving forward.
Seattle sent the 26-year-old catcher down earlier this month after he hit just .167/.250/.236 with no home runs and 30 strikeouts (37.5 percent) across 24 games (80 plate appearances).
