Nationals to call up Joe Ross for Tuesday start
Washington Nationals pitcher Joe Ross will be called up to start Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners.
Ross recorded a 5.50 ERA over three starts in Triple-A Syracuse following his demotion earlier this month. His most recent outing included just one run and six strikeouts with one walk over seven innings. He owned a 7.47 ERA in three big league starts this season prior to being sent down, but the 22-year-old right-hander is worth the add in fantasy leagues if he's available.
Ross' 4.15 SIERA suggests he has plenty of room for improvement moving forward. He's twirled a 20.0 strikeout percentage and career-low 5.7 walk percentage while going 1-0 in those three outings.
