Padres get a complete game from Clayton Richard in win over Arizona
San Diego Padres pitcher Clayton Richard allowed five hits and gave up just one run in Sunday's 5-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The single run came on a solo shot from Chris Iannetta in the third inning. Richard fanned six and didn't walk any batters. He'll bring a 3-5 record into a home matchup with the Washington Nationals in his next start.
