Rangers' Tyson Ross (shoulder) poised to begin rehab games
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Tyson Ross (shoulder) is on track to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday.
Ross has yet to pitch in 2017 as he recovers from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome surgery that he had in October. The 30-year-old has been pitching in simulated games the last few weeks and is now ready to take the next step in his recovery. Ross faces a lengthy rehab assignment and won't make his first MLB start of the season until June at the earliest.
Ross has made one start since 2015 where he posted a 3.26 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 212 strikeouts in 196 innings pitched for the San Diego Padres that season.
