Toronto's Justin Smoak taking a seat on Thursday
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak is not in the lineup Thursday.
What It Means:
With the Blue Jays in an NL park to face the Atlanta Braces, they don't have the luxury of a designated hitter. Kendrys Morales, the team's usual DH, is playing at first on Thursday, giving Smoak the night off.
Smoak is batting .280/.342/.545 with nine home runs, 27 RBI's, and 20 runs scored in 146 plate appearances.
