Cleveland's Corey Kluber (back) makes it through a 40-pitch bullpen session
Cleveland Indians pitcher Core Kluber (back) successfully made it through a 40-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday.
Kluber is now expected to throw a simulated game on Saturday, and if that goes well he will likely get a minor league rehab start before returning the Indians' rotation.
While his 5.06 ERA isn't pretty, Kluber has actually looked pretty solid in 2017, with a 3.69 SIERA, 26.0 percent strikeout rate and 1.37 WHIP through 6 starts (37 1/3 innings pitched).
