Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and outfielder Jayson Werth are out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
What It Means:
It looks like it's just a day of rest for the veterans, and Adam Lind will start at first base and bat seventh while Brian Goodwin draws the start in left field and will bat second on Thursday.
Zimmerman has been outstanding from the dish in 2017, slashing .374/.417/.763 with a .488 wOBA through 151 plate appearances.
