Mariners' Mitch Haniger (oblique) takes swings in cage Monday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (oblique) took some light swings in a batting cage on Monday.
Haniger will continue to up his workouts throughout the week in hopes of being ready for a rehab assignment this weekend. "Taking it slow as far as building up each day," he said. "No hiccups yet. Everything’s great, and hopefully it keeps going smoothly."
Haniger was raking before he got hurt, opening 2017 with a .338/.442/.600 slash and a .444 wOBA through 95 plate appearances. He has four home runs, 16 RBI's and two stolen bases.
