Cleveland's Carlos Carrasco exits early with injury
Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco departed Monday's start against the Tampa Bay Rays in the fourth inning with an apparent injury.
Carrasco was visited by the trainer after allowing a two-out RBI single to Brad Miller. No word on what the injury was but the pitcher was not at his best on Monday, allowing five runs and six hits in only 3 2/3 innings pitched with below average velocity. The team should provide an update on Carrasco in the coming hours.
Despite the rough start on Monday, Carrasco owns a 2.60 ERA with a 0.88 WHIP and 52 strikeouts in 52 innings pitched this season.
