Red Sox still without Hanley Ramirez (trapezius) in series opener
Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez (trapezius) remains out of Friday's lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Ramirez was pulled from Wednesday's game with a spasm in his upper right trapezius muscle and hasn't played since. That was his first start of the year at first base and he likely won't be playing the field again anytime soon. Chris Young is serving as Boston's designated hitter on Friday and hitting fifth against right-hander Alex Cobb and the Rays.
Ramirez has posted a .257/.345/.429 slash and .339 wOBA through 119 plate appearances so far this season while recording five home runs and 16 RBI's.
