Dodgers place Kenta Maeda on DL with hamstring tightness
The Los Angeles Dodgers placed starting pitcher Kenta Maeda on the 10-day disabled list with hamstring tightness.
Disappointing news out of L.A. for the 29-year-old right-hander as Maeda was coming off his best start of the season on Wednesday, where he allowed two runs and five hits in 8 1/3 innings. It is unclear the extent of the injury or how many starts he will miss. Hyun-Jin Ryu was activated off the disabled list Thursday, in a corresponding move.
Maeda owns a 3.26 SIERA and 24.5% strikeout rate in 39 1/3 innings pitched this season.
