Nomar Mazara not in lineup as Rangers take on San Diego
Texas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara is not in the lineup Thursday against the San Diego Padres.
What It Means:
This will be the third time in the last five games that Mazara was held out of the starting lineup. Shin-Soo Choo is starting in right field and leading off for Texas versus lefty Clayton Richard and the Padres.
Mazara's production has regressed a bit from last season, as he's slashing .234/.304/.395 with a .301 wOBA in 138 plate appearances (PA). In 2016, he hit .266/.320/.419 with a .318 wOBA across 568 PA.
