Toronto sends Francisco Liriano (shoulder) to 10-day disabled list
The Toronto Blue Jays have sent starting pitcher Francisco Liriano to the 10-day disabled list with left shoulder inflammation.
What It Means:
Liriano's velocity has been way down, and he was rocked for seven runs in only two innings in his last start on Wednesday. No word on the severity of the injury but the veteran southpaw will miss at least one start.
Liriano holds a 6.35 ERA, 1.91 WHIP, and 21.6 percent strikeout rate in 28 1/3 innings pitched this season.
