Orioles' Zach Britton (forearm) out 45-60 days
Baltimore Orioles reliever Zach Britton (forearm, elbow) will be sidelined for the next 45-60 days.
Britton was fortunately cleared of any ulnar collateral ligament damage this past weekend, but he's going to be shut down from throwing for about a month while dealing with a strain in the belly of his left forearm. The Orioles are hoping he'll return around the All-Star break. Brad Brach's arrow is screaming upwards.
Brach is sporting a 3.47 SIERA with a 26.1 percent strikeout rate, 10.1 percent walk rate and 0.91 WHIP through 18 games (18 2/3 innings) this season. He's converted on eight of nine save opportunities.
