Orioles confirm Zach Britton has a forearm strain

Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Zach Britton (forearm) has had his initial diagnosis of a forearm strain confirmed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache.

What It Means:

Britton's ulnar collateral ligament was in perfect shape, according to the doctor, which is great news for the closer. While the diagnosis is favorable, expect the Orioles to take extra caution with Britton, who is making his second trip of the season to the 10-day disabled list with the forearm strain. Brad Brach will continue to close games out for Baltimore until Britton is ready to return.

Brach owns a 2.04 ERA with 17 strikeouts and seven saves in 17 2/3 innings pitched so far.
