Indians tab Mike Clevinger for the start on Sunday

The Cleveland Indians will have Mike Clevinger start versus the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.

What It Means:

Clevinger is making at least one start in the big league rotation while Corey Kluber is on the disabled list with a back injury. The Indians were rained out on Thursday, causing a bit of reshuffling of their rotation. They chose to give the 26-year-old a prime start versus the anemic offense of the Royals instead of the Toronto Blue Jays next week.

Clevinger owns a 1.50 ERA with 32 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched for Triple-A Columbus this season.
