MRI on Phillies' Aaron Nola (back) shows no structural damage
An MRI on Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola's lower back came back without any sign of structural damage.
Nola has thrown a few bullpen sessions as he tries to rehab from a lower back strain but continues to experience soreness. Now that something structural has been ruled out, the Phillies can move forward with the necessary treatment. There still is no timetable for Nola to return to the rotation.
Nola owns a 3.11 FIP with a 2-0 record and 15 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched this season.
