Marco Hernandez leaves Red Sox victory early with shoulder strain
Boston Red Sox infielder Marco Hernandez was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles due to a left shoulder strain.
Hernandez injured himself while committing an error in the top of the first inning. The Red Sox should provide an update on Thursday. Josh Rutledge came in to fill the void at third.
Through 21 games and 60 plate appearances this season, Hernandez is slashing .276/.300/.328 with a .277 wOBA. His 25.0 strikeout percentage could use some work.
