Athletics sending Sean Doolittle to disabled list with shoulder strain
Oakland Athletics reliever Sean Doolittle was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain.
What It Means:
Doolittle was limited to 44 appearances and 39 innings last season while dealing with a similar shoulder issue. It's disappointing news for the 30-year-old left-hander after his solid start to the season.
Doolittle owns a 3.52 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 37.9 strikeout percentage across 7 2/3 innings. He's struck out 11 and walked only one while splitting his two save opportunities.
