Mets place Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) on DL

The New York Mets placed outfielder Yoenis Cespedes on the 10-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.

What It Means:

Cespedes re-aggravated his hamstring on Thursday prompting the move. The outfielder was sent out for an MRI, but the results have not been released yet by the Mets, making it difficult to estimate how long Cespedes will be on the shelf. As long as Cespedes is out, however many games that may be, Michael Conforto will have a place in the New York lineup.

Conforto is hitting .302/.385/.605 with four home runs, eight RBI's and nine runs scored in 52 plate appearances.
