Salvador Perez (neck) returns as Royals open series with White Sox
Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (neck) is back in the lineup Monday against the Chicago White Sox.
A stiff neck caused Perez to miss the past two games. He'll start behind the plate and hit fifth against right-hander Miguel Gonzalez and the White Sox in the first matchup of the three-game series.
Perez is slashing .258/.277/.516 with a .335 wOBA across 65 plate appearances (16 games) this season while recording five home runs and eight RBI's.
