Jayson Werth (groin) out of Washington's lineup again on Friday
Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth (groin) remains out of the lineup Friday as the Nationals take on the New York Mets.
Werth strained his groin on Wednesday and will now miss two straight games with the ailment. The fact the club hasn't put him on the disable list yet, makes the injury appear to be a day-to-day issue. Chris Heisey is in left field and batting seventh on Friday.
Werth has batted quite well to start the season with three home runs, seven RBI's, seven runs scored, and a .752 OPS in 49 plate appearances.
