Mariners' Jean Segura (hamstring) on pace for Friday return

Seattle Mariners infielder Jean Segura (hamstring) remains on track to be activated when he's first eligible on Friday.

What It Means:

Segura is sidelined with a right hamstring strain that isn't considered serious, but a brief minor league rehab assignment may be necessary before he's activated from the disabled list. Taylor Motter will be relegated to a utility role upon Segura's return.

Segura slashed .313/.353/.406 with one home run, three RBI's and three stolen bases in 35 plate appearances (eight games) prior to going out with the injury.
