C.J. Cron once again riding pine for Angels versus Kansas City

Los Angeles Angels first baseman C.J. Cron is on the bench again Friday versus left-hander Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals.

What It Means:

Cron has now started just once in the Angels' past four games. His 7-for-23 (.304) start to the year isn't something to brag about, but it also doesn't really justify such a significant dip in playing time.

Cron's .304 batting average is actually on pace for a career-best, but all seven of his hits have been singles, leaving the 27-year-old with a career-low .624 OPS.
