Michael Brantley hitting third for Indians' on Opening Day

Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley will bat third in Monday's season opener against the Texas Rangers.

What It Means:

The Indians brought Brantley along slowly during spring work, but it sounds like he's ready to roll as they're thrusting him right into the middle of the lineup against Rangers' ace right-hander Yu Darvish. Brantley will still likely see some sporadic rest days during the early part of the year, but it sounds like his shoulder issues are behind him.

numberFire's algorithms project Brantley to hit .290 across 451 plate appearances this season while recording 12 home runs, 62 RBI's and 10 stolen bases.
