Tigers place J.D. Martinez (foot) on 10-day disabled list

The Detroit Tigers placed outfielder J.D. Martinez on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to March 30, with a right mid-foot sprain.

What It Means:

Martinez was diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot and is expected to be out until at least May with the injury. Mikie Mahtook and Tyler Collins are in a position to man right field for Detroit in Martinez's absence. Neither are worth your attention in fantasy.

Before the injury, Martinez was projected for 28 home runs, 90 RBI's and a .281 batting average in 572 plate appearances by numberFire's algorithms.
