Carlos Carrasco will pitch the second game of the regular season for Cleveland
Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona announced Monday that starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco will pitch the second game of the regular season.
Carrasco was nursing a sore elbow, but the concern for the injury appears to be gone as Francona has already slotted the starter into the second spot in the rotation. The 30-year-old has the stuff to be an ace for Cleveland and in fantasy, but injuries are always a concern, as Carrasco has never pitched more than 200 innings in any one season of his career.
numberFire's algorithms project Carrasco for a 12-9 record with a 3.41 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 187 strikeouts in 177 innings pitched in 2017.
