A.J. Pollock returns to game action for Diamondbacks

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder A.J. Pollock (groin) went 1-for-3 at the plate in a minor league game on Monday.

What It Means:

"I did bases before the game, and that felt really good," Pollock said. "I haven't really felt anything since [March 12], so that's a good sign." He had been sidelined for more than a week due to tightness in his left groin, but is now on track to return to Cactus League play Thursday. Pollock was limited to only 46 plate appearances in 12 games last season.

For the upcoming season, numberFire's metrics expect Pollock to hit .289 across 549 plate appearances with 17 home runs, 56 RBI's and 28 stolen bases.
