Tsuyoshi Wada shutout the Indians last night, pitching 7 innings of four-hit, six-strikeout ball en route to an easy 17-0 win.
What It Means:
Wada, a 34-year-old Japan native in his second big league season, has been surprisingly effective this year for the Cubs. While his peripherals don't quite check out (his numberFire nERD is 207th ranked at 0.90), it's tough to argue with his 24.39 K%.
