Pirates' Jung Ho Kang admits to DUI, punishment coming March 3
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang admitted to his DUI charge in a South Korea court on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on December 2 in Seoul, South Korea, and it was Kang's third DUI charge since 2009. A verdict hearing will take place on March 3, per Yonhap News, but it's unknown when Kang will be able to rejoin the Pirates, or whether or not he will face additional punishment from the team.
Kang slashed .255/.354/.513 with a .369 wOBA across 370 plate appearances (103 games) for the Pirates last season. He added 21 home runs and 62 RBI's with 2.2 wins above replacement.
