Drew Hutchison deals Jays past Yanks
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Drew Hutchison fired 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Sunday as the Jays beat Yankees to avoid a sweep.
Hutchison allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out five.
Hutchison has some funky numbers this year. The win moves him to 12-2, but he owns a 5.06 ERA. However, his FIP is a much more respectable 3.96. His numbers are in line with last season's totals, except for his BABIP, which has jumped from .293 to .347.
