Bruce Rondon expected to see more save opportunities for Tigers

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said “Well the way Rondon has been pitching, I may end up giving him some more opportunities,” regarding save opportunities. Ausmus went on to say that it doesn't mean Rondon will receive all of the opportunities.

What It Means:

Rondon has recorded the Tigers last two saves, which are his only two of the season. He has a 5.60 ERA but a drastically better 2.48 FIP in 17.2 innings pitched this season. He's also striking out 33.3 percent of batters that step to the plate against him. Our projections have the Tigers winning 22 more games this season, which is only better than four other teams in our projections, so there may not be a whole lot save opportunities for Rondon.
