Howie Kendrick traded from Dodgers to Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies acquired second baseman/outfielder Howie Kendrick from the Dodgers in exchange for infielder/outfielder Darnell Sweeney and first baseman/outfielder Darin Ruf.
What It Means:
For now, Kendrick is considered the everyday option in left field for Philadelphia, but the expectation is that he will wind up on second following a Cesar Hernandez trade.
Kendrick disappointed with a .255/.326/.366 slash across 543 plate appearances last season. He finished with eight home runs and 65 RBI's.
