The Astros released relief pitcher Jose Veras Friday morning.
What It Means:
In 18 appearances for Triple-A, the 34 year-old Veras had a 5.68 ERA and a 5.04 FIP. It's not looking good for the career reliever who has bounced around the majors since making his debut with the Yankees in 2006.
