Cubs include Kyle Schwarber for World Series versus Cleveland
Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber has officially been added to the roster for the World Series.
Schwarber received surgery in April to repair a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee, so it's a pretty extraordinary recovery for the 23-year-old slugger. He will likely serve as the designated hitter in Cleveland, but will be limited as a pinch-hitter for the games played in Chicago. Schwarber replaced Rob Zastryzny on the Cubs' World Series roster.
Schwarber was limited to just five plate appearances in 2016 and hasn't been active for the postseason run. numberFire's models give the Cubs a 64.4 percent chance of defeating the Indians in the World Series.
