Dodgers, Justin Turner discussing future

Los Angeles Dodgers impending free agent infielder Justin Turner has had "very preliminary contract talks" with the club, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

What It Means:

Turner should make out well in a weak free agent market this winter, especially coming off such a dominant postseason performance. This doesn't necessarily mean that the 31-year-old third baseman will be leaving Los Angeles, but he's definitely about to get paid.

Turner has been crushing it for the Dodgers this postseason, slashing .333/.533/.571 with one jack and five RBI's in 30 plate appearances (seven games). This comes after a 2016 regular season that featured a .275/.339/.493 slash with 27 home runs and 90 RBI's in 622 plate appearances.
