Francisco Liriano (concussion) on track to return Saturday for Toronto
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Francisco Liriano (concussion) had a successful bullpen session on Thursday, and is on track to return on Saturday for Game 2 of the ALCS against the Cleveland Indians.
Liriano was forced out of Game 2 of the ALDS when he took a line drive to the head, but he has made his way through the concussion protocol, and is expected to be activated as soon as he is eligible, which will be for the ALCS Game 2 on Saturday.
In 10 starts with the Blue Jays in the regular season, Liriano posted a 3.34 ERA, but he had a down year overall. His 4.69 ERA was his worst since 2012 while his 4.38 SIERA was his worst since 2011.
