Jay Bruce hits another homer in Mets' win
Jay Bruce stayed hot Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies by going 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI's in a 5-1 win.
The Mets' magic number is down to one to clinch a spot in the NL Wildcard race and Bruce did his part Friday night. He had RBI's in three separate at bats, including two RBI singles and a solo homer. He has slumped a lot since coming over at the trade deadline, but he is starting to turn things around. Bruce is 10-for-20 in his last six games with four homers and eight RBI's.
Bruce is slashing .249/.307/.507 with 33 homers and 99 RBI's over 534 at bats between the Reds and Mets this season. He has a .340 wOBA and his .258 isolated power is his best mark since 2012.
