Astros' Alex Bregman ran on treadmill Thursday
Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (hamstring) did some light running on a treadmill Thursday.
It was the first time he has attempted to run after straining his hamstring on September 14 and while his return this season is still in question, it's a good sign he has been cleared for low intensity running. His return this season might depend on if Houston makes the playoffs, but they are currently 1.5 games back of Detroit in the wild card with 11 games to go.
Bregman has flashed some promise through 212 plate appearances as a rookie, slashing .260/.311/.480 with a .335 wOBA on a 32.9 percent hard-hit rate.
