Orioles shut down Steve Pearce (forearm) for 10 days
Baltimore Orioles first baseman Steve Pearce (forearm) will be shut down for the next 10 days after receiving platelet-rich plasma treatment on Wednesday.
This could spell the end of the season for the 33-year-old Pearce, who has been struggling with forearm discomfort since joining the Orioles on August 1.
Pearce has had a great year from the dish, slashing .288/.374/.492 with a .370 wOBA and .205 ISO through 302 plate appearances.
