Yankees place Aaron Judge placed on disabled list with oblique strain
The New York Yankees have placed outfielder Aaron Judge on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right oblique.
Yankees' manager Brian Cashman acknowledged Wednesday that Judge was likely done for the season after suffering a right oblique strain on Tuesday. The injury usually takes about three weeks to recover from, and with only 18 games left in the season, that certainly would appear to be the case.
Judge wraps up his first year in the majors with a disappointing .179/.263/.345 slash in 95 appearances at the plate (27 games). He showed his power potential with four dingers, but the 24-year-old outfielder will need to work on his 44.2 strikeout percentage.
