Angels' Tyler Skaggs' forearm MRI shows no ligament damage
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs underwent an MRI on his forearm on Wednesday, which revealed no damage to his UCL.
This is Skaggs' first season back from Tommy John surgery, so the Angels were taking no chances when he started feeling some tightness in his forearm, and scratched him from Wednesday's start in order to have the MRI done.
Skaggs has managed a 4.13 ERA and 4.20 SIERA through nine starts this season, with a 23.8 percent strikeout rate and 10.0 percent walk rate in 48 innings pitched.
