Yankees admit Aaron Judge (oblique) likely done this season
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (oblique) is likely done for the season, general manager Brian Cashman acknowledged Wednesday.
Judge suffered a right oblique strain Tuesday night during his fourth-inning at-bat. The injury typically requires about three weeks of rest and rehab, so with only 18 games remaining in the regular season, and the injury typically requiring three weeks of rest and rehab, Judge's rookie campaign appears to be finished.
Judge wraps up his first year in the majors with a disappointing .179/.263/.345 slash in 95 appearances at the plate (27 games). He showed his power potential with four dingers, but the 24-year-old outfielder will need to work on his 44.2 strikeout percentage.
