Starling Marte (back) getting the day off for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder Starling Marte (back) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's road game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Marte's back injury has been lingering, and it has held him out since September 5. Matt Joyce will start in Marte's place in left field on Tuesday.
Marte's 47 stolen bases this year are the third-most in the majors, and he is slashing .311/.362/.457 with a .351 wOBA through 526 plate appearances.
