Danny Valencia expected to finish season with Athletics
Oakland Athletics third baseman Danny Valencia is expected to finish the season with the Athletics, according to Susan Sussler of the San Francisco Chronicle.
What It Means:
It was reported on the weekend that Oakland was going to release Valencia, and while Slusser reports that he is unlikely to remain in Oakland next season, the plan is for him to play out the year.
The 31-year-old Valencai is slashing .291/.347/.461 with a .347 wOBA and .170 ISO through 450 plate appearances this season.
