Ivan Nova throws a complete game in Pirates' win
Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Ivan Nova allowed one run on six hits Thursday in a 4-1 complete game victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
Nova has been great recently, having thrown complete games in two of his last four starts. He has only allowed four earned runs in 30 total innings in that span.
Nova's 4.13 ERA and 3.92 SIERA on the year aren't great, but they are both improvements over his numbers from last season. He also has a 17.9 percent strikeout rate and 4.5 percent walk rate over 143 2/3 innings.
